Who will sweep us off our feet?

The success of the fifth season of 'Dancing with the Stars' indicates that the show -- not just the dancers -- has legs. The formula continues to keep the fans tuning in, with suspense building for the upcoming finale. While the judges score the dancers, it's the fans who will have their say on Tuesday, and it appears that sentiment will win out over pure dancing skill. Among the finalists, Spice Girl Melanie Brown and race car driver Helio Castroneves appear to be the most talented. Yet, the winner may well turn out to be Marie Osmond, whose fainting spell on air has been this season's most dramatic moment. None of the stars have ideal astrological transits on the 27th, but the planets are extremely kind to Marie on Monday the 26th, which should carry her over the threshold. It's Venus, the principle of appreciation and attraction, that should help her win. This fortunate planet, and the ruler of Marie's Libra zodiac sign, joins her birth Sun and harmonizes with surprising Uranus that day. This outshines a positive push from the Sun to Melanie's assertive Mars the day after the final, and Helio's boost from agile Mercury the day before.

'Dancing with the Stars' has its own birth chart: June 1, 2005 at 5 pm in Los Angeles. (Thanks to astrologer Michael Wolfstar's 'NewsScope' column for his research.) The show is a versatile Gemini with the Moon in ever young Aries, which keeps it from growing stale. Lucky Jupiter forms a harmonious 120-degree trine to the Sun, to ensure its popularity. Melanie benefits from the DWTS birth chart as a Gemini (born May 29, 1975). Marie was born on October 13, 1959 with a Libra Sun, an air sign that aligns favorably with the DWTS Sun. Helio, sadly, does not get the same solar support since he's a Taurus (May 10, 1975) without the beneficial hookups with the DWTS chart that Melanie and Marie have.

A chart done for Tuesday's season finale is another piece of astrological evidence that appears to favor Marie Osmond. The Moon, which changes signs every two days, will be in the nostalgic sign of Cancer that tends to favor emotion over objectivity. The winner is more likely to be someone the audience is familiar with, like a member of the family...like an Osmond.
