Libra is the peacemaker, the diplomat who tries to keep everyone happy, but that might be a tough role to play in 2007. Libra might want to get out of the line of fire and let opposing parties settle their own issues. Unless you're in a position of responsibility where harmony is required to get a job done -- or to keep your sanity -- some breaks from the battlefield of human relations can do you a lot of good. There are four eclipses this year; two of them fall in Libra's behind-the-scenes 12th House of Privacy and two in your nose-to-the-grindstone 6th House of Work and Service. These suggest that Libra could use more time to yourself, as the demands of work may be heavier than normal. Usually, you're so responsive to others that solitude can be the remedy for an overdose of discussions, negotiations and endless bargaining with people. This isn't about running away from reality; it's about finding enough peace and quiet to hear your own thoughts without interruption.

Libra's ruling planet, Venus, is retrograde from July 27 until Sept. 8, a period of revisiting old relationships. The reverse cycle of the partnership planet can pull you back into a group you thought you had left behind or return someone from your past to your present-day life. Whether this feels like a second chance to get it right or a rerun of a show you didn't like the first time, standing up strongly for your own values is the surest way to achieve a better outcome.

Serious Saturn is spending the first eight months of the year in Libra's 11th House of Groups and Friends. Saturn's presence demands that Libra be clear about expectations of others if you want to avoid disappointment with pals or as a member of a team. It's time to be a leader and play a more active role in directing events socially or on the job. You gain a higher level of respect when you state your goals, make a plan, and stick to it. There's a shift on Sept. 2 when Saturn enters modest Virgo and Libra's 12th House of Privacy. Your proudest achievements may not be widely seen or recognized, but you can gain great satisfaction by assisting those in need and by furthering your spiritual development. Libra won't become invisible during this period, but an inner sense of purpose and dedication can be so rewarding that the approval of others will become less important to you.

Lucky Jupiter in Sagittarius is shining brightly in Libra's 3rd House of Communication, making this an excellent year to get your message across with more power and pizzazz. You should be able to express more passion when you speak, as yours is a voice that will be heard. When you believe in something, your ability to sell it rises considerably. This house is also associated with learning, so expect to be quicker to pick up information and ideas now. Broaden your mind with new fields of interest, and you will grow into a more multifaceted and intriguing individual.
