Avoid Scattering Your Energies

Don't let a sluggish start to the month deflate your balloon. July ends with Mars, your ruling planet, tangling with tough Saturn on its way to another difficult connection with demanding Pluto on August 1. If you're caught up in a power struggle, or find yourself going over an old problem in the same tedious way, do your best to disengage. If a problem cannot be met with ease and grace, let it go for the moment. There's a significant shift in your personal winds when Mars leaves stable but stubborn Taurus on August 7 and enters adaptable Gemini. The action planet heats up your Third House of Communication, which can make it easier to get the information you're seeking and make your messages clearer to others.

A tendency to scatter your energies, though, needs to be restrained to avoid spreading yourself too thin. Avoid making promises that you might not be able to keep. Your impulsive enthusiasm can cost you some trust and credibility if you are unable to follow through and complete the tasks you take on. The New Moon in fellow fire sign Leo on August 12 will color the following week with high spirits, proud words and a tendency to take risks. The passion you're feeling is great for making compelling presentations that are bound to get and keep the attention of others. However, dreamy Neptune opposing the New Moon can attract teammates who may have inspiring ideas, but who could lack the follow-through to make them real.
