You combine a high level of imagination and practicality this month as the Sun is in your 5th House of Creativity through May 20. This is excellent for making a good impression because you have a sense of showmanship and the ability to present yourself and ideas at a higher skill level than usual. It's great to have more enthusiasm since you sometimes are so burdened with responsibilities that you become overly serious. Yet, it's vital to temper any excitement you have about a new job or project with a dash of self-restraint so you don't wind up promising more than you can deliver.
The source of your optimism is the ongoing presence of alluring Venus and pioneering Mars in your 4th House of Feelings. This dynamic duo can up your profile thanks to your charm, social skills and personal connections. This pair can also make you itchy for something fresh to make work less tedious and predictable. If you don't have this kind of stimulation, you might get restless and wind up in conflict with a boss or co-worker. Be careful with your playful attitude because a conversation that begins with light hearted teasing could turn into a real conflict.
While you look reliable, solid and able to earn trust on May 5, a very different trend starts two days later. Mercury turns retrograde and will be moving backwards until May 30, signaling complicated conversations and difficulty with details. Even if you're totally on top of your game with facts at your fingertips and a well-organized plan, you can't necessarily rely on the accuracy or commitment of others, so be prepared to make adjustments as needed.
