The last three weeks of August are rich with romantic opportunities, as the heartfelt Sun passes through your Fifth House of Self-Expression, Play and Love. Rooms light up when you walk in them, but the power of your personality might be hard for some timid folks to handle. Know your audience, since your honest enthusiasm may be interpreted as over-aggression. Sociable Venus is still moving backwards (retrograde), which tends to make people a little touchier about personal matters. An innocent comment in the present can trigger a wave of emotions stored up from the past.
On August 7, Mars -- your ruling planet -- skips into playful Gemini, increasing your interest in teasing and flirting. Word games become more fun as you seek out intellectual sparring partners with whom you can sharpen your mental sword. A tendency to promise more than you can deliver appears on August 23 when Mars opposes expansive Jupiter. Going too far, saying too much or simply spreading yourself too thin are possibilities. The upside of this opposition, though, is your ability to project your ideas with passion, making you a convincing speaker, teacher or salesperson. The Full Moon on August 28 illuminates the shadowy corners of your secretive Twelfth House. You may feel more vulnerable now, and perhaps even have a sense of betrayal caused by someone you trust. There is, however, an increase of tenderness that makes you more sensitive to others and more open to receiving their support in an intimate exchange of equals.
