Open Up and Be Present

Relationships are especially important this month as July begins with the Sun in your 7th house of partnership. However, instead of trying to control situations, your willingness to be present emotionally and without judgment, with all the uncertainty that can produce, is important. The union of the Sun and Moon in watery Cancer on July 2 can plant a seed for a new connection or for taking a current one to a better place. It requires a willingness to share your feelings with as much honesty as you can. Being self-protective -- a natural instinct -- can get in the way of going further with another person. If you're annoyed by the moodiness, complaints or weakness of someone, do your best to conjure up all the compassion you can find. The greater strength now is to feel as much as you can rather than maintaining self-control in a personally challenging situation.

Being more generous in every way is recommended when Venus, the planet of love, enters outgoing Leo and your 8th house of intimacy on July 12. There are great riches to be shared with a partner, yet keeping score won't allow you to enjoy them. If you are able to give materially and physically, and anticipate the desires of another, you can build a temple of delight to share with him or her. Real generosity, though, is also about a willingness to show the deepest parts of yourself, even if it makes you feel weak or silly. Romance grows when trust is present, and that's always tested when we are not at our best.
