Put Yourself First

It's makeover time, Pisces, with astrology's fashion queen Venus continuing her stay in your 2nd House of Resources. Spending time, money and energy to update your image is a good way to gain more attention. But more importantly, it's a means to raise your confidence, which is always helpful.

Mars, the planet of passion, is also in Aries, reminding you that a bit of selfishness is not a bad thing. Instead of spending so much time worrying about what others think, focusing on yourself will make you more attractive. Of course, you can compromise -- and probably will -- when you have to, but putting this off as long as possible is healthy now. Sure, if you have a partner who is used to getting his or her way, who expects you to be the one who adapts all the time, this shift may not be appreciated. Yet this month is yet another reminder that putting yourself first is the best way to avoid coming in second in a relationship. It's not that you want to win or dominate the other person; it's just that leaning more in the direction of your own desires is the best way to ultimately achieve balance and fairness.

Don't be taken in by a mysterious and manipulative person around the Full Moon on May 9. His or her power, passion and charisma can be tempting to follow, yet there's a chance that you are overestimating this individual. What you're seeing, or what you think you're seeing, may wind up to be less than meets the eye.
