Four planets change directions this month. Saturn's forward turn on May 2 enables you to transform blue-sky ideas into reality. This direct shift of your ruling planet may reveal practical limitations that can dampen your dreams, but this is only to reshape them into a workable form. Expansive Jupiter, on the other hand, begins its retrograde cycle on May 9, reminding you to consolidate gains, restrain growth, and manage your physical resources more carefully. Idealistic Neptune and rational Mercury both go retrograde on May 26. Neptune's reverse turn, a subtle influence that will last for months, brings inspiration from within, signaling a growing faith in yourself and your untapped potential. Mercury retrograde in your 6th House of Work and Service requires attention to detail on the job, where errors and miscommunication could cause problems. Avoid locking yourself into any long-term commitments at this time.

The Jupiter-Uranus sextile on May 21 is another source of inventiveness that can get you out of a sticky situation. Yet complex conditions on May 22 pull you in two directions. You have a naturally strong sense of duty -- but there's a part of you that yearns for freedom now as well. Following the rules can be too restricting, so you may need to create new ones to meet your obligations in a more interesting way.
