BBQ Pickups for Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces

How to spot and seduce any sign at the cookout

Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)
Charming Libra loves the idea of the great outdoors, but has a very different attitude toward its harsh realities. This sign often can be found wearing a hat to protect their complexion from the Sun's harsh rays. You won't catch Libra wearing cut-offs and an old tank top, either. This fashionable sign favors designer duds, even at the risk of getting them spotted with barbeque sauce.

If you want to win Libra's heart, express an interest in music. Tune the radio to this sign's favorite station. Discuss current events, but don't be dogmatic. People born under the sign of the scales prefer polite conversation to heated debate. Finally, be witty and sophisticated. Librans can't abide bumblers. Pattern your behavior after Cary Grant or Audrey Hepburn.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)
Secretive Scorpio isn't a big fan of sunlight -- this sign is far more apt to attend a nighttime barbeque. If this sign does attend a daytime cookout, they're apt to be lurking beneath a shadowy tree. You might also catch sight of Scorp gazing intently at a colony of insects -- this sign loves to observe secret worlds! This sign favors dark or mirrored sunglasses.

One of the best ways to captivate Scorpio is to make a brutally honest observation. This sign admires honesty, and can spot a phony compliment from a mile away. That doesn't mean you should be unnecessarily cruel, but it does mean you shouldn't sugar-coat the truth. If Scorpio asks questions about your past, be evasive. This sign loves a mystery, and will make it their mission to uncover yours.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)
The archer is in their natural element at a barbeque. This sign loves eating out of doors -- the messier the meal, the better! Both male and female Sagittarians are fans of the backwards baseball cap. They are also fond of sports jerseys, cutoff jeans and battered tennis shoes. This sign is a dog lover and is usually found with a four-legged friend in tow.

One of the best ways to capture Sagittarius's heart is to summon your inner philosopher. Beneath this sign's devil-may-care appearance rests an old soul. Express an interest in religion, politics or ethics. The archer is also an adventurer, and won't be able to resist an invitation to go hiking or rock-climbing through a beautiful nature spot.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)
You can always spot sophisticated Capricorn at a barbeque. This is the person who brings their own special sirloin burger to grill, along with a few bottles of imported beer and some pastries from the French bakery. The ambitious goat is also a tireless worker who is prone to fielding cell phone calls and checking their Blackberry, even during down time.

If you'd like to pick up Capricorn, make some dry jokes. This sign is famous for their wry sense of humor. Goats appreciate taste and discernment, and will perk up if you compliment any special gear they've brought along, like a camera or high-powered binoculars. When you ask this sign out, make sure it's to a china and linen napkins kind of place -- Cappy is no cheap date!

Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)
Free-spirited Aquarius adores a barbeque. Because this person is an air sign, he or she can often be found flying a kite, bird-watching or star-gazing. If the object of your affection is looking toward the heavens, you can bet he or she is a water-bearer. This sign is also unconventional, and can be found decorating their hot dog with pineapple slices or gathering rare plant specimens while everybody else is playing frisbee.

The best way to attract Aquarius is to captivate their mind. If you're a nature expert, offer a few fun facts about the great outdoors, like "hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly backwards," or "ants can carry more than 50 times their own weight." Be open-minded and inquisitive; if there's anything the water-bearer hates, it's a blasé sophisticate. Finally, focus on becoming this sign's friend before making any romantic overtures.

Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20)
Dreamy Pisces can often be spotted walking barefoot through the park at a barbeque. You might also find the fish leaning against a tree, reading a good book. This sign loves to escape to their own private fantasy world. Pisces also enjoys photography, and can often be found snapping pictures of the festivities.

Be sure to show your softer side when seducing compassionate Pisces. Express your love for animals, concern for the environment, or appreciation for children. If the fish looks dehydrated, bring him or her a cool drink without being asked. Thoughtful gestures never fail to thaw out a cold fish. Don't kill any ants or spiders that happen to wander into your picnic area -- instead, guide them to safety. You'll win this sign's ever-lasting loyalty … not to mention their phone number.
