Scorpio father (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)
You may find that you and your daughter are able to communicate on many levels and often without words. You just seem to understand each other. However, you should be careful not to take this for granted and just assume that you're always on the same page. You may be your daughter's first vision of what a knight in shining armor must have been like. There is a nobleness of spirit that you have and a genuine belief in truth and justice. However, what may be difficult for her is getting beyond your armor. You are available to her, but not necessarily emotionally. She might also feel like she has to compete with all the different things that can crowd your life at times: your interests, your friends, your causes, your work. Be sure to take as many private trips with her as you can to cultivate real intimacy with her.
Pisces father (Feb. 19 to March 20)
You are a deep listener, and your daughter may sometimes be amazed by how deeply you know her and appreciate her own mystery. The chief emotional economy between you is based on your profound levels of understanding of each other. However, be careful not to take this understanding for granted. You might always think that you're behaving in a trustworthy manner, but at times it's hard to know because your words may not always match up with your actions. Just knowing someone isn't enough. You also have to actively build greater levels of trust by being there and meeting all the responsibilities of being a parent.
