It's tax time, that dreaded period when you calculate how much you owe Uncle Sam. The good ol' IR of S is going to go over every detail of your return, in proper Virgo fashion. Although nothing stated below can serve as a substitute for the services of a certified tax professional, we can at least illuminate how every single area of your life is affected come April 15 -- because you'll be taxed on nearly everything!

Each sign of the zodiac corresponds with a "house" (or area of life) in your horoscope. Since we all have 12 houses in our birth charts, read all 12 signs to remember what to report and deduct on your tax return:

Aries (March 21 to April 19)
The 1st House of Identity covers whatever marks you as an individual: your full name and your Social Security number. However, anyone can file a return with this information -- what differentiates you from anyone else is your signature. So don't forget to sign all documents with your John (or Jane) Hancock.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)
The 2nd house rules your income and possessions -- what you own. Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, a money planet. Just like the opposing 8th house (coming up!), you'd best report every little thing, lest you want the IRS coming after you. You know, those tall guys wearing sunglasses and black suits....

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)
The 3rd house rules early childhood education, as well as how you travel around your city or neighborhood. Don't forget to deduct child care expenses and transportation costs, if applicable. If you're self-employed, remember to deduct the cost of Gemini things like books and postage.

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)
The 4th house rules the home. It covers real estate, so if you bought or sold property last year, you definitely need the help of an accountant. Don't forget the interest on your mortgage payments, and deduct your home office if self-employed.

Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22)
Like to gamble? All forms of speculation are ruled by the 5th house, so if you got lucky in Vegas, you gotta claim your winnings and deduct your losses. The 5th house also covers children, so claim your dependents!

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)
The 6th house governs health and well-being. You may qualify to deduct medical expenses. If self-employed, deduct all those Virgo-type things like office supplies. This is traditionally the house of servants, so if you have a maid, housekeeper or nanny, remember your payroll taxes.
