Libra (Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)
Although most Librans don't enjoy scary movies, they are suckers for love stories. Fortunately, there are a few movies that blend horror with romance: Bill Gunn's 'Ganja and Hess' is a great one. Archaeologist Hess Green is stabbed by his research assistant while attending an excavating dig in Africa. The attack turns the esteemed scientist into a vampire. That doesn't stop beautiful Ganja from falling in love with him. Can this couple ultimately overcome their differences, or will the whole love affair become a pain in the neck?

Scorpio (Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)
Halloween is Scorpio's favorite holiday, and no wonder. It's all about uncovering those shadow selves that are buried deep within us. And if there's any movie that celebrates these inner demons, it's William Crain's 'Blacula.' It casts suave William Marshall in the role of an 18 th-century African prince who asks Count Dracula for help in abolishing slavery. Unfortunately, the Count sees Marshall as more of a meal ticket than an ally in the fight for justice, and Blacula is created, complete with 70s sideburns. Great fun.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)
Archers are the most cosmopolitan creatures in the zodiac. This Halloween, Sagittarians may want to rent a copy of Wes Craven's 'The Serpent and the Rainbow.' It has Harvard professor Bill Pullman traveling to Haiti to get his hands on a voodoo potion that puts people in a trance-like state. Contains liberal doses of both atmosphere and fright what Sagittarian could ask for anything more?
Capricorn (Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)
Stable Capricorn rules the skeleton. What better movie for this sign than Ernest R. Dickerson's 'Bones'? It's the story of Jimmy Bones (played admirably by Snoop Dogg), a local favorite who is brutally murdered by a rogue cop. The neighborhood fast becomes a ghetto without Bones to protect and serve its citizens. All is not lost, however, when Jimmy's ghost gets sweet revenge 22 years after his murder. Co-stars the majestic Pam Grier. Nuff said.
Aquarius (Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)
Whether it's hanging out on the corner or fending off bands of zombies, Aquarius prefers to work as part of a team. That's why George Romeo's 'Night of the Living Dead' is the perfect scary movie pick for this sign. It takes place in a Pittsburgh suburb that is being terrorized by roaming bands of flesh-eating zombies. Filmed in 1968, it's one of the first horror films to feature a black protagonist. Way ahead of its time, which is just how Aquarius likes it.
Pisces (Feb. 19 to March 20) Dreamy Pisceans love all movies, even scary ones. Generally, though, Fish prefer films that transport them to strange, beautiful worlds. That's why Jacques Tourneur's 'I Walked with a Zombie' is the perfect pick for this sign. It's the story of a young nurse who comes to the West Indies to care for a plantation manager's invalid wife. Local rumor has it that the patient is actually a zombie. While this movie's protagonists are mostly white, the film features one of the best black characters ever depicted in a horror film -- Sir Lancelor, the calypso singer who taunts white landowner's with his pointed song lyrics. A hidden gem among horror movies.
