Wentworth Miller, born June 2, 1972 in England and raised in Brooklyn, is a wonderful example of a Gemini. This sign of diversity is reflected in his diverse origins: a mix of African-American, Jamaican, English, German, French, Dutch, Syrian and Lebanese. He even has two different-colored eyes: green on the left and hazel on the right. He's also had a varied career path, starting out behind the camera and winding up in front of it. Gemini, ruled by the mental planet Mercury, is an intellectual sign, which fits Wentworth as well. He's a graduate of the prestigious Princeton University and both his parents went to Yale. Clearly, he's more than what we see on the screen. Duality even plays a role in his hit TV series 'Prison Break' where he plays structural engineer Michael Scofield, a character who gets himself put into prison so that he can help his brother escape from death row.
Obviously, one doesn't graduate Princeton without being a dedicated student, a quality that's evident in Wentworth's chart. His Sun and Mercury are conjunct Saturn, the planet of maturity, focus and commitment. Normally, such a prominent Saturn can make a person sad or sour, which doesn't seem to be the case here for three astrological reasons. First, Neptune -- the planet of faith and forgiveness -- opposes Saturn, softening its hard edges with imagination and compassion. Second, he was born with the Moon in friendly Aquarius. The earth's satellite -- symbolizing emotions, feelings and habits -- is lightened in this airy and abstract sign. Aquarius is often intelligent, making his Moon a harmonious companion to his Gemini Sun, and it also reflects a willingness to experiment and explore unknown territory. Third, Venus opposes Jupiter. When the planet of love and pleasure aligns with the most expansive body in the solar system, a life of adventure is to be expected. Boundless joy, romance and a love of art are expected with this delightful alignment in Wentworth's chart.
There's astrological evidence for a rebellious streak here as well. Wentworth may have a well-behaved Saturn watching his every move, but Uranus -- the planet of freedom -- is also a strong player in his life story. It's in a tense 90-degree square with his Mars -- the action planet -- in the protective sign of Cancer, and in a harmonious 120-degree trine with his Gemini Sun. These dynamic aspects are sure to bring surprises -- Wentworth not only plays a character who tries to break his brother out of prison, but he's also likely to surprise his fans with some radical career moves in the future. Like a typical Gemini, we may think we know him, but there's always another side still to be discovered.
