John Stamos: Leo Without Attitude
By Jeff JawerProvided by Tarot.comJohn Stamos has the warmth and confidence typical of his Leo Sun sign. He has a tender side, though, that makes him seem more like someone we know than a television star from the faraway land of Hollywood.
John Stamos is a Leo, born August 19, 1963 in Cypress, California. His lion's mane of hair was a frequent topic of conversation on the long-running sitcom 'Full House,' where he played Jesse Katsopolis. He was the Elvis-loving, live-in uncle of three girls, the youngest of which was played by future moguls the Olsen twins. John's mix of sweetness and swagger probably wasn't much of a stretch for the actor. In fact, his first television character, Blackie Parrish on the soap opera 'General Hospital,' was also a seemingly bad boy with a heart of gold. Leo, the sign associated with the Sun, often displays a high level of confidence, but most Lions are more vulnerable than they appear. The assurance shown on the surface masks a deep need to be noticed and loved. When a Leo isn't comfortable enough to show this, he or she can be arrogant and overbearing, but when tenderness is visible you get the warmth of someone like John Stamos.
He was born with Venus -- the planet of love and beauty -- conjunct his Sun, which makes him an especially good-looking Leo. The close connection of Venus and the Sun, though, also represents vanity (another aspect of Uncle Jesse's character). John is unlikely to be a runaway egomaniac, though, thanks to the tempering influence of Saturn in his chart. The planet of restraint is opposite his Sun and Venus, casting a bit of self-doubt on his otherwise sunny Leo disposition. Any tendency for a swollen sense of importance is further tempered by John's Mercury, the planet of intellect. His is in critical, detail-oriented Virgo. Behind John's warm smile and pretty-boy good looks is a thoughtful mind. Individuals with Mercury in Virgo are analytical and capable of breaking down complex problems to come up with workable solutions. They are often worriers, too, due to a tendency to over-think situations rather than trusting that they'll work out fine on their own. Mars, the macho planet of action and initiative, is another calming force in John's chart. His is in Libra, the sign of the diplomat. The raw power and impulsiveness of the planet is cooled by a strong need to get along with others. This adds grace and style, which John has demonstrated as a song-and-dance man in musicals, and it adds another layer of likeability that brought him back to television in a regular role on 'ER,' putting his career back on track.
