Steve Jobs is a visionary Pisces who co-founded Apple Computer and brought the world the iPod. But this highly creative man is also known as a very demanding and critical manager, which contradicts the usual image of a compassionate Pisces.Steve Jobs, one of the giants of modern technology, is a complex individual. The co-founder of Apple Computer is a Pisces, born February 24, 1955 at 7:15 pm in San Francisco, who traveled to India as a young man in search of enlightenment and went on to become a visionary producer of high-tech products. He's known for toughness, which is not characteristic of his generally gentle Sun sign; he's a man who won't eat meat, but whose harsh words can take the hide off of an unsatisfactory employee. This tension between high ideals and verbally abusive behavior comes from several factors in his astrological chart. The Pisces Sun represents the visionary who brought the world Apple's innovative products from Mac to iPod and was responsible for the success of Pixar Animation Studios. The grand scope of his personality, though, is focused through a demanding and critical Virgo Ascendant. Although many people with Virgo rising are careful and modest, Jobs has an explosive Moon in fiery Aries to fuel Virgo's perfectionism with assertiveness and impatience. Mercury -- the intellectual planet associated with Virgo -- is in a tough 90-degree angle square with serious Saturn, reflecting a mind better suited for clarity than compromise.
The Moon represents emotions and habits. Jobs' Moon in Aries represents unfiltered feelings that tend to be expressed spontaneously. There's often a sense of urgency for those with this placement in their birth charts, which is helpful for pushing forward rapidly, but is often unwilling to slow down and wait for others. But it's the innovative quality of Aries -- the first sign of the zodiac -- that's one of the reasons Jobs is a natural pioneer. He's been unafraid to follow his instincts, which have mostly been right on the mark when it comes to business. And like a sensitive Pisces, he's not simply some hard-driving boss, but a dreamer able to tap into trends well before others see them.
Jobs and his companies are known for a highly-developed aesthetic sense, an appreciation for art and beauty that is often overlooked in the high-tech world. Venus -- the planet of taste and style -- was in practical Capricorn when he was born, which seems better suited for the plain beige boxes of PCs than the gleaming products produced by Apple. Jobs' Venus, though, is opposed by inventive Uranus and expansive Jupiter, giving him both an original eye for design (Uranus) and the powerful beliefs that have made him such a successful promoter of them (Jupiter). However, the social graces for which Venus is known can suffer when the planet is in such a tense relationship with volatile Uranus and excessive Jupiter. It's quite possible that Steve Jobs doesn't worry about such personal matters, though. Pisces may be a feeling-oriented water sign, but its sensitivity to individuals isn't so important when its passion is directed to the greater endeavors of changing the world.
