Jamie Foxx is an outgoing Sagittarius, a friendly sign that's often marked by a sense of restlessness. His Moon, though, is in earthy Taurus, giving him a strong emotional foundation that keeps him anchored in reality.
Jamie Foxx has talent oozing out of his pores. He's a gifted actor, singer, pianist, comedian, and was even the star quarterback of his high school football team. Born December 13, 1967 in Terrell, Texas, he's an outgoing Sagittarius with the warm playfulness for which this sign is known. Sagittarians sometimes scatter their energies, though, or party so hard that they never reach their full potential. While Jamie will certainly continue to grow professionally, the success he's already achieved is exceptional. Pluto, the planet of power and concentration, was in a 90-degree square to his Sagittarius Sun when he was born. The intensity of this tiny and distant, but highly potent body has enabled Jamie to pull together the wide-ranging gifts of the creative Sun and deliver them in one impressive package. Pluto also represents metamorphosis, something Jamie's done again and again in his career. He began as a musician, became a comedian, and wound up being an Oscar-winning actor. Uranus, the planet of inventiveness and originality, is also square his Sun, another astrological indication of his unique genius. For some, however, the pressures of Pluto and Uranus to the Sun can be devastating, marking an unhealthy restlessness and reaction against society. Jamie's childhood, however, was rooted in a rigid upbringing by his grandparents that supported his complex personality.
The Moon symbolizes home, family and feelings, and Jamie's is in the solid earth sign Taurus. Traditional astrology considers this one of the best places for the Moon, as it represents a stable core and inherent sense of self-worth. While Sagittarius' arrow-shooting archer aims high and far and sometimes loses sight of its foundation, Jamie's Taurus Moon is a constant reminder of both where he comes from and the basic values on which he was raised. Intimate relationships may be complicated, though, since Venus and Mars -- the lovers -- are also square in his birth chart. This tense connection between active Mars in unconventional Aquarius and loving Venus in sexy Scorpio shows that he's naturally seductive. But the contrasting needs of freedom (Aquarius) and possessiveness (Scorpio) can make it difficult to find a comfortable place to stand in a partnership. However, that should not be Jamie's priority this time around. The karmic South Node of the Moon is in compromising Libra, suggesting that he shouldn't push hard to partner up. The integrative North Node of the Moon, on the other hand, is in pioneering Aries, showing that his emotional and spiritual growth come from taking a more independent path. This is about living without love, suggesting that fulfillment comes when he doesn't have to compromise too much to accommodate his mate, and when he's free to keep exploring and expanding his enormous creative potential.
