It should come as no surprise that Hillary Clinton is a Scorpio. This intense, emotionally powerful sign usually provokes strong reactions, both positive and negative. The Senator from New York, born on October 26, 1947 at 8 p.m. in Chicago, has the Sun, communicative Mercury and sociable Venus all in watery Scorpio, where feelings run deep and are often hidden below the surface. Hillary is perceived as a passionate person by her supporters and an ice queen by her detractors. Regardless of what is shown on the outside, she is ruled by her emotions as much as by her considerable intellect. Her Moon, the primary astrological symbol of instinct and habits, is in Pisces, another water sign. However, Pisces has a diffuse quality that's very different than Scorpio's intensity. Hillary's Moon is in a tense 90-degree square with unconventional Uranus, adding a sense of distance or separation that can override Pisces' usual compassionate side.
