Celebrity Pisces Bruce Willis Profile - Zodiac Central Pisces

Bruce Willis is a Pisces, a sign known for its gentleness. The actor may be a kind man in real life, but he has a rep for playing tough guys on-screen. It's Mars, the warrior planet, opposite formidable Saturn in his birth chart that shows the astrological source of his power.

Bruce Willis, one of the world's leading movie stars, was born on March 19, 1955 at 6:32 pm in Idar-Obertein, Germany. That makes the 'Die Hard' series hero a Pisces. This is a sensitive water sign, preferring poetry to punching and reconciliation to confrontation. Clearly Bruce doesn't fit the Fish stereotype and seems to be much more like an aggressive Aries, the sign the Sun entered a day and a half after his birth. Still, imaginative Pisces works well for actors who need to adapt themselves to different kinds of roles, and whose job it is to play make-believe. The wisecracking, New Jersey raised Willis once said, "I am a sensitive guy. People think they know the real me, but they don't. And then they write things that make me sound like such a jerk." He's known for being a conscientious dad, and was open-minded enough to attend the marriage of his ex-wife Demi Moore to Ashton Kutcher.

Bruce often plays the tough guy onscreen. Mars -- the planet of the warrior -- was in solid and stubborn Taurus when he was born. While this often indicates passivity and the kind of fighter who stubbornly holds his own, Mars is opposite serious Saturn in Bruce's birth chart. Saturn is tough, demanding and unyielding. Individuals with strong Mars-Saturn contacts in their charts either have tremendous focus and will or find themselves steamrolled by life. Applying anger or assertion (Mars) with a purpose (Saturn) makes Bruce a convincing action star and reflects a "take no crap" attitude.

What sets Bruce apart from his contemporaries is his sense of humor. Schwarzenegger and Stallone are thick and leaden compared to rakish and roguish Bruce. His breakthrough role as David Addison in 'Moonlighting' showed the wit that has helped make his career a successful one. No matter how unsavory the character, he could flash an infectious grin and crack wisely enough to make us laugh. Playing against the brittle Cybill Shepherd gave him the kind of unsympathetic foil that made his less-than-gallant behavior acceptable. Bruce's wit is largely reflected in his Aquarius Moon, a combination of detachment and intelligence that's expert at pointing out life's absurdities. And while his Mars-Saturn opposition indicates a man who will fight to the death if necessary, the emotional spaciousness of his Aquarius Moon allows him to joke with his enemy while destroying him. Expansive Jupiter and inventive Uranus form harmonious 120-degree trines to Bruce's Pisces Sun, filling his spirit with originality, generosity and an optimistic perspective that helps him find humor in almost any situation. Tender, tough and funny: that's Bruce's winning combination.
