Janice Dickinson is an Aquarius with an agenda. Instead of being a rational, detached version of her sign, she's a troublemaker with strong opinions whose social grace (or lack thereof) doesn't live up to her physical appearance.
Janice Dickinson, the self-proclaimed 'World's First Supermodel,' has reemerged from her glory days on the runway and among the Studio 54 crowd to newfound fame on 'America's Next Top Model' and 'The Surreal Life.' The outspoken Ms. Dickinson has been less than forthcoming with her birth date, so there is some controversy about her astrological chart. The most reliable date appears to be February 15, 1955 and fits Janice's outsized personality so well that it will be used as the basis for this analysis. Janice is certainly unique -- she earned fame in the traditionally passive role of a model, but she's as bold and in your face as an NFL linebacker. Usually, we don't find the beauty and the beast in the same person, but her high-powered chart fills the bill. Janice is an Aquarius, a sign known for its independent and irreverent ways. But most people born under this sign use their heads to stay cool, which is not the way of this hot-headed ex-supermodel. Perhaps it's because she has Pluto, the provocative lord of the underworld, opposite her Sun, a common signal for power struggles. Each relationship is a test to see who'll win and who'll lose, which is very different from Aquarius' commonly cooperative way of being.
The reason Janice isn't a typical laid-back Aquarius is because she has such strong fire energies in her chart. The Moon -- planet of moods and feelings -- is in outspoken Sagittarius, where good humor and playfulness sometimes turn into loud talk or over-the-top behavior. Still, there is generosity with the Moon in Sag, so Janice may very well be a giving person too. Mars, the action planet, was in its hot-burning home sign of Aries at her birth. This is considered an astrological plus that gives a pioneering spirit and the enthusiasm to back it up. Yet, this first sign of the zodiac can lack sensitivity, so those with self-interested Mars there may come across as harshly competitive or uncaring. Janice's Mars also forms tense 90-degree squares with expansive Jupiter and excitable Uranus, strong indications of excess, impulsiveness and individuality.
The confidence Janice shows is well-earned considering her professional accomplishments. But it's also likely that it masks self-doubt and insecurity too. Her Venus -- the planet of love and beauty -- is in hard-working Capricorn, where success is a narrow perch difficult to reach and even harder to maintain. And Saturn, Capricorn's key or ruling planet, was square Janice's Sun. This demanding relationship underscores the power of her ambition, but also shows the possibility that she may not like herself, which could be why she needs us to love her that much more.
