Jen may have been married to Brad Pitt, but her chart suggests that she's really not the marrying kind. Still, surprises are swirling around her this year and she may shock us with a sudden change of heart.

Jennifer Aniston, one of America's sweethearts, has had a rough ride in relationships these past few years. Since her divorce from Brad Pitt she's been romantically linked with Vince Vaughn and in an on-again off-again liaison with musician John Mayer. While there's no doubting the young singer-guitarist's talent, his games with the media have not always cast him in the best light. Still, as of this moment Jen is rumored to be back with him.

Jen's birth chart suggests the complexities of intimacy in her life. She's an Aquarius, a sign that likes its freedom, with the emotional Moon in Sagittarius, another sign that needs room to move. The restrictive planets Saturn and Pluto further complicate matters with Saturn conjunct her 7th House of Partnerships, and Pluto stressing her Moon to reinforce patterns of skittishness in relationships. Perhaps Jen summed it up best by saying, "Don't make plans, make options."

Gossip sites are reporting that John Mayer is asking Jen to marry him, a supposed condition for continuing their relationship. That's a little hard to believe considering the independent elements in her birth chart, including her love planet Venus in self-reliant Aries. Still, there is some major activity from transiting planets that suggests she may be ready to spring a surprise. Uranus, the planet of spontaneity, makes a series of dynamic squares (90-degree angles) to Jen's Moon culminating in late March. This is the kind of astrological influence that triggers unexpected events and radical behavior. At the same time Uranus will be opposing her Pluto, a controlling planet that could finally release its hold on her emotions during this transit.

If Jen does jump the relationship fence and get engaged to John Mayer or, shocker, hook up with someone new, it won't be long before the heavy hand of reality brings her back down to earth. Serious Saturn is following Uranus' path and will challenge her Moon and Pluto starting in August. If she's made a wrong turn, corrective action will be called for then. But if her choice is clearheaded, then Saturn will confirm it and give her a chance to settle down for a long time.

One other factor to consider is the slow-moving transit of spacey Neptune, which spent much of the past year on Jen's Aquarius Sun. It offers inspiration and imagination when positive yet is commonly associated with confusion. This influence is waning yet may be close enough to still allow her to be seduced by a romantic illusion. Hopefully, this transit will bring compassion for herself and a softening of the heart that allows her to receive the love that she deserves.
