The relationship of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise is a tabloid writer's dream. Whether it's a romantic fairytale or cultish nightmare, public fascination over the famous couple hasn't waned. Tom, the almost-born-on-the-Fourth-of-July superstar, is a cuddly Cancer with a dramatic Leo Moon. Katie is an adventurous Sagittarius who also has the Moon in Leo. Having the planet of emotion in the same sign is a powerful bond between them, but rumblings and rumors about Katie's struggle to maintain her identity in Tom's tightly knit world of overpowering faith and fame suggest that all is not well in paradise. It's true, Sagittarians like space to pursue their own dreams, while Cancers' emotional envelopment can be smothering. This strong contrast between their Sun signs is astrological reason enough to wonder about the longevity of their relationship.
For now, though, the pair are bonded in Leo's world of glamor, where Katie may be living out her princess fantasies with her handsome, rich and famous prince. Sharing the throne with Tom casts her in a golden light far brighter than any created by her own career. Crabs like Tom don't let go easily, especially when they also have assertive Mars in stubborn Taurus. Yet it's hard to believe that Katie won't escape one day. Frankly, it's surprising that she hasn't already flown the coop, but she's probably under enormous pressure to do nothing that might damage their image as the perfect couple. Sagittarians, though, need freedom more than safety and will eventually rock the boat -- even if it dumps them in the water. Perhaps she's just biding her time while she's taking swimming lessons.
