Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, better known as Lady Gaga, is a breakout star with a Grammy and a 'Rolling Stone' magazine cover story who keeps rolling out the hits. She's become a major star since the release of "Fame," her first album, and is returning glam to pop music with her catchy music, outrageous attire and stage show. Gaga, an Aries, born March 28, 1986, is definitely an original, perfectly fitting the profile of her pioneering Sun sign. She's sexy in a humorous way, as if she's making fun of the character she's created. Aries are often innovative but Gaga is taking it to a new level.
She was born with Mars, Aries' ruling planet, in ambitious Capricorn in a stressful right angle square to her Sun. This will drive her to outwork other performers and spare no effort to make an impact. Yet the hard edge of this combination is softened by the power of imaginative Neptune in her chart. The planet of fantasy is joined with her Mars and squares her Sun, adding the bubbles, feathers and mix of music and stage production that has made such a splash.
Venus, the planet of taste and style, was also in Aries when Gaga was born. This reflects here interest in developing new forms of expression, rather than following anyone else's lead. It also means that she will continue to evolve creatively with many twists and turns to her art form in the years ahead. The only category in which she will stay is change. Her Venus forms a harmonious trine with Uranus, the weirdo of the solar system. This revolutionary planet's constructive alignment with her Venus ensures that she will continue to be on the leading edge of pop music.
Still, it's unlikely that Lady Gaga would become a star if all she had were some flashy ideas. Behind the strange sets and weird costumes is a serious woman who knows how to pull emotional strings. She was born with the Moon, the planet of feelings, in deep dark Scorpio. Gaga is no superficial poseur; she's a serious musician who began playing the piano as a child, went to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and she was a songwriter for other bands before making it as a performer. Her Scorpio Moon shows that she has a depth of feeling and passion that instinctively know how to hook an audience. Gaga applies her Scorpionic powers to put hooks in her songs, as well, which is what makes them unforgettable. She's no Aries flash in a pan who goes from the cover of 'Rolling Stone' to the recycle bin in a year or two. Gaga's got staying power and will probably still be a star long after the last bubble bursts.
