Celebrity Scorpio Nick Lachey Profile - Zodiac Central Scorpio

By Jeff JawerProvided by Tarot.com

Nick Lachey combines the intensity of a Scorpio Sun with a calm and comfortable Moon in Taurus. His love planet Venus is part of a very complicated pattern that requires more than inner strength to create enduring happiness.

Nick Lachey's first success came as the lead singer for the band '98 Degrees.' But he achieved pop culture immortality in 'Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica,' the reality show that chronicled his marriage to Jessica Simpson. Their marriage, unfortunately, ran only slightly longer than the show, which ended in 2005. In spite of the highly publicized divorce, Nick has gotten his life back on track with a new girlfriend and a solo album, proving he's a survivor. Born November 9, 1973 in Harlan, Kentucky, Nick's a Scorpio, the sign that never gives up. No matter how far they fall, Scorpios seem to have a gift for turning their lives around. In fact, if things are running too smoothly for too long, some of them have a tendency to upset the apple cart just to make things more interesting. Nick's even said, "I like a little drama now and then … I think that's incredibly sexy." But his going shirtless on 'Newlyweds' was probably sexier to most of his fans than the drama of his breakup with Jessica.

Nick's Moon -- planet of emotions -- is in even-keeled Taurus, the sign opposite Scorpio. That gives him a strong inner sense of self that balances the outer changes he's experienced since going from college jock to pop star. Moon in Taurus folks have a tendency to know who they are, and they don't change because of what others think of them. But this self-reliance could add to the complexities of relationships indicated in his birth chart. Venus -- the planet of love -- is in hard-working Capricorn, but is stressed by a tense 90-degree square from Pluto and a tough opposition from Saturn. These are astrology's heaviest planets, and with both making such difficult angles to Nick's Venus, he may have more relationship challenges in the future. This combination doesn't mean that he can't be happy in love, but plenty of maintenance may be required to keep one on track. Going silent is a potential concern since Scorpios can sometimes be secretive. Nick's Mercury -- the planet of communication -- is in this sign and was moving backwards (retrograde) when he was born. This increases his likelihood of avoiding difficult subjects, especially personal ones.

Mars -- the action planet -- is opposite independent Uranus in Nick's chart, which can represent a sudden break or change of course. The link between these two planets makes him exciting, and capable of surprising us with unexpected moves. Yet the possibility of acting impulsively further complicates relationships. Nick needs some freedom, but if he's unwilling to talk about it with his partner, pressure can build up until one day it's over. There's something very attractive about a guy who is the strong, silent type, but Nick's willingness to show his feelings before it's too late could make an enormous difference in his future happiness.
