Now that your big "I do" day is over, it's time for your honeymoon respite. Regardless of how long you and your sweetie have been together, you'll want to take this opportunity to renew and deepen your intimacy by lavishing your undivided attention on one another.

You've probably chosen a fabulous place to enjoy your fun-filled days, including a hotel room perfect for romantic nights and long, leisurely mornings. To make your love nest even sweeter, here are some simple feng shui tips that will help ignite your passion.

Honeymoon Feng Shui Items to Pack

Shawls, Scarves or Other Fabric -- Red is the color for passion, but any of your favorite colors will do. Sheer scarves and boas can be a lot of fun.

Candles -- At least 2, but 4 or 6 are even better.

Photographs -- Take along photos that remind you of why you chose each other. The Chinese call these "happy memory photos" and believe they enhance personal blessings.

Dreams Collage -- Find a little time before your honeymoon to make this collage. Cut out images from magazines that relate to the dreams the two of you plan on fulfilling together. Paste the images on a piece of cardboard cut to a packable size.

Removable "Sticky Gum" Adhesive -- To hang your collage and photos in your hotel room.

Sheets and Pillows -- For you fussy ones who are sensitive to how your sheets feel next to your bare skin -- or those of you who must have the perfect pillow -- take along your favorites.

Coins -- Wrap three of them in purple fabric and tie it with a red ribbon to enhance wealth.

Scented Oils --For massage and fragrance.

D or MP3 player -- You've got to have your favorite tunes!

Getting Your Room Ready for Love

To begin, use your scarves or shawls to redecorate your room. If the TV isn't enclosed in a cabinet, cover it with fabric. TVs can disturb a room's feng shui, even when they aren't turned on.

To romanticize the room's lighting, try carefully draping a sheer fabric around a lampshade to soften the light or change its color. Make sure the fabric isn't anywhere near the bulb.

Open the windows or patio doors to let in fresh air and renew the room's chi (vital energy).

If you brought sheets or pillows, get your bed ready.

Place candles around your room. Grouping candles and other objects in twos will help you two unite.

Find the southwest area of the room. This is the best place to hang your photographs and collage, because in feng shui, the southwest influences marriage.

Now find the southeast area of your room. Place the money bag you brought in this area to enhance prosperity in your marriage.

Enjoying Your Love Nest

I'm pretty sure you two will have this covered, but here are a few more suggestions.

Keep your cell phones turned off as much as possible. If you brought a laptop, restrict its usage as well. Be especially diligent about powering down at night. Remember, the whole point of your honeymoon is to shut out the world and concentrate on each other.

Keep the closet doors and the en suite bathroom door closed at night. This will allow for the most nourishing flow of energy to help strengthen the health of your relationship.

Keep the toilet lid down when it's not in use. Open toilets can drain chi.

Use essential oils for massages, or dab some on a light bulb for fragrance (you can wipe it off later before you leave). Try ylang-ylang, a fragrance known to stimulate passion.

Taking Your Honeymoon Home

When your blissful retreat ends, the passion doesn't have to! All of these feng shui tips can be transported to your home bedroom. Keeping romance alive is all about creating environments to nurture your love life, as well as setting aside time for intimacy.

Marriages take work -- any couple will tell you that -- but they also take play. Use these feng shui tips to recreate your honeymoon whenever and wherever you can.
