2006 Numerology Forecast

The year 2006 is likely to be remembered mainly as a year of economic transformation – positive for some individuals and businesses, but potentially devastating for others. Last year, 2005, was a 7 year... when the best and worst of human values were brought to the forefront by global events. 2006 comes up as an 8, squarely focused on security and prosperity issues.

More than any recent year, this is an excellent time to work on achieving financial stability, so the best advice is to take care of your debts as much as possible. Seventy-seven years after the big crash of 1929 we could noticeably slide towards a similar, but hopefully not nearly as extreme, downturn. Conditions in January are ripe for careful planning to prepare for the possibility of difficult financial times, which if they happen are likely to peak later in they year, perhaps in September.

In 2006, you can also expect the worldwide political landscape to keep changing. The United States will continue to lose leadership traction, in part due to our debt-heavy economic condition.

On the bright side, 2006 will be a good time for anything related to the heart, as people rely more and more on family and friends to help them through challenges. Those with Life Path numbers 2, 6, 7 and 9 could attract new romance and commitments. Even people in long-term relationships and marriages will feel a reawakening of romance with their partners. Look to March as the month when love is truly in the air.

The coming year could also usher in big breakthroughs in the fights against cancer, AIDS and other major diseases, especially in the month of February. Health is featured highly in 2006, and mostly with positive outcomes.

Unfortunately, the numbers for 2006 also suggest some event that may result in the death of many, many people. It could be larger than the Asian tsunami of late 2004, Hurricane Katrina... or anything else we have witnessed in the recent past. 2006 has a 4 Challenge and an 8 Pinnacle which together tend to indicate some kind of huge disaster. Exactly what form this will take is not clear.

In a nutshell, as the world around us becomes less secure and more challenging, people turn to community for strength and reaching out. This will be called out more in certain months than in others. January, for example, brings solutions and reconciliation, compassion and a sense of healing. In March, diplomacy and a sense of brotherhood may help nations or groups currently at war overcome their differences and find compromise. More peacemaking is forecast for October.

In April, new inventions could appear and we might see a revival of space exploration and other discoveries. It will be a very creative time in general.

In May, the economy shows its first major signs of trouble. Some shocking events or revelations also are likely in the political arena. (President Bush and Vice-President Cheney both have troubling numerology charts for 2006.) But the mood shifts in July. In fact, this could be one of the brightest moments in history we have seen in some time, as suddenly people attach the highest value to honesty and truth. More and more people will speak out against hypocrisy and fake values and begin seeking something genuine.

We finish the year on a note of optimism and rebirth, with November looking to be a promising time. In December, romance and the strengthening of personal relationships are once again emphasized. But even with this positive upswing on the personal front as the year ends – considering all the ups and downs of the months that went before – it will be surprising if the political status quo by the end of 2006 is even remotely similar to what's before us as we head into this new year.
